Madeline, I miss you

One of my best friends in the whole world passed away this week and left a gaping hole in my heart.

But because of who she is, that hole is warm. Its warmth comes from the memories I have of her.

Madeline, I miss you so much it hurts. And I will always love you. It sucks that you will never be able to fulfill your promise of visiting me in SG. But I will keep mine to you. I will come soon. I will work harder than I have ever worked to achieve my target and then I can fly over immediately.

You hold the title of giving me the biggest laughing fit of winter 2013. It was the kind that made me choke and have absolutely terrible tummy cramps and have to gasp for breath.

I am someone who appreciates laughter, and I always try to bring laughter to everyone around me. Because I believe laughter is the best medicine. Which is why every single of those ultimate laughing episodes I have, I cherish deeply. My laughing richter scale of 10. Only legendary names have broken it amongst my espada, such as gary (dudu) and woon (youtube dance) etc, and even these legends have only done it once or twice to me. You did it to me more than once, and I will always remember the legendary toilet saga with fondness.

I usually spend an inordinate amount of time in the toilet, as my family can acclaim to. And while on exchange, my apartment toilets didn't have bidets, so I had to use a ton of toilet paper. Which meant that i flushed. ALOT. (To prevent the toilet bowl from choking).

And one time I was doing that, Madeline was the only one around. She had an intense conversation about my adventure with another close friend for the entire hour, with non stop commentary. When I came out and she told me about it, I didn't believe it until i saw the chat. It was unbelievably hilarious!!! I shall spare the details of my toilet adventures, but you better believe commentary on that is one of the most funny shit ever.

The highlight was her wondering if she should call the ambulance while remarking on how that number of flushes couldn't be normal. Only Madeline, bringing joy and laughter to the simplest things in life. She is truly amazing.

Time spent with Madeline was truly special, she had a gift of turning everything into a lasting memory. Madeline was a massive reason why Winter 2013 is the best time of my life so far by a country mile, and I will always remember you. That hole will never be filled, I promise, and because of you it will always stay warm.
