THRILLED!!!

After this semester, i will have but one final year (FYP year) to ensure i obtain the goal i've set for myself for this 4 years; First class Honours.

Goal: 4.5+ (CAP)
Current: 4.43
2A+
5A
6A-
7B+
and 1 mod below B+

My next sem's results should improve the number of A grades on my report.

The mod below B+ was an anomaly; a huge mistake.

But those 7 B+s are wayyy too much.

In epl terms; they are what we call dropped points. if A grades are wins, B+s are nothing but draws. And everytime a club gets a draw, it drops 2 points.

Its time to stop getting B+s.

Since my results are out in a couple of weeks lets play my favourite game of prediction

GEM2027: Not a graded module this sem. Loads of fun but lets put it aside for this experiment.

HR2002 (3 MCs) : Great project, good finals.
Predicted: A- or B+
Worst case: B+
Best case: A-
Actual result: B+. Always a wild card since its an english mod rather than an engine mod and thus quite subjective. An A- for this would have guaranteed my dean's list but fortunately its only 3 MCs. This is the only blip in my happiness this sem. But its okay it isn't all about the grades sometimes and i made a great friend from this mod so all's good :)

EE3331C: Great midterms, great finals
Predicted: A
Worst case: A-
Best case: A
Actual result: A. THRILLED! I worked realllllly hard for this and it was also one of my specialization tracks' core modules so it was really important to do well for it since my future mods will heavily depend on my foundations in this module. And an A is brilliant! I know i predicted A for it and usually my predictions for my engine mods are quite accurate since it isn't subjective; if u know it means u know it, but den you never know how well everyone else does. Either way, there is no better feeling than getting what you feel you deserve!

EE3206: Great finals
Predicted: A
Worst case: A-
Best case: A
Actual result: A+. Sorry, did i say there's no better feeling than getting what you deserve? It seems there is! Getting BEYOND what you predicted!! Honestly, I wasn't perfect for the finals which is usually what is required to get A+, but i'm also thrilled because this is another one of the core modules! I was intending to focus on EE3331C's specialization tracks, but maybe now i will divide it more evenly between EE3206 and EE3331C. btw EE3331C is control & intelligent systems, or automation. and EE3206 is computer vision. Meaning? what u think it means haha. What the computer sees!

EE3731C: Great midterms, decent project, poor finals
Predicted: B+
Worst case: B+
Best case: A-
Actual result: A-. I was as surprised by this as the A+. No, i was MORE surprised. I couldn't believe i got A- for this because i really messed up the finals. I thought I was nailed on for B+ which would have all but ended my deans list dreams. This was the decider for my deans list after I got B+ for the business mod (HR2002) and it really came through. A would have guaranteed it, but I had no chance of getting that haha and A- gives me a great chance.

worst case SAP: 4.27 (would be a complete robbery considering how hard i worked)
Best case SAP: 4.77 (i would be beyond freaking thrilled seriously. when i received my results last sem i'm 100% certain that moment that day was the best in my life. But i know if i received this... it would actually top that. I might actually explode from happiness... no kidding)
Predicted SAP: 4.63 (i would still be happy with this, actually, since it would bump my cap up to 4.46 and dangerously close to my dream goal for 4.5.
Actual SAP: 4.67: Thrilled! In any other engine faculty this would be auto deans list but I dunno for mine.. But i know it gives me a good chance and that's all i could ask for. Now its down to fate whether I get what I've been dreaming of all semester; my ultimate goal this semester to obtain back to back titles; back to back dean's lists. And after this, i will go to SEP and enjoy for 1 semester before I come back and challenge for the final ultimate glory. I have been going for epl titles so far, but the dream every club wants to achieve is Champions League glory. And the champions league title in this case is my goal for the 4 years: first class honours. It wont be easy cos at 4.46, its a long ways to go for the final sem. i'll basically need the last year to be as strong as my last two semesters. It wont be easy at all.

But nothing worth having ever is.

I am beyond grateful for this semester.

Some First class honours dreams calculations:

Final year i have
FYP: 12 MCs
EE2031: 2MCs
EG2401: 3MCs
3 depth mods: 4MCs each

IF i can repeat this year's strong performance and IF i can get A- for my FYP,

FYP: 12MCs: Try for A- (A would guarantee it and bring me over the moon but lets not be tooooo optimistic here since we never know what will happen)
EE2031: 2MCs: go for A!
EG2401: 3MCs (another subjective mod like HR2002, ill give it B+ just like what i received for HR2002)
3 depth mods: go for A!

Final CAP: 4.52

First class honours obtained!!!
