the truly great ones do not need anyone else to succeed
the truly great ones have focus. eyes on the prize.
it is time to truly believe that I am one of the truly great ones
what i have, and what i will have in future is 100% my own doing
nobody else contributed except for me
my parents sent me to the top school in singapore, raffles institution?
so what? my A level results were close to shit, the lowest in the entire university
no, what i have now is all because of myself only
my fighting spirit
i earned all the success I have now on my own, and the future potential success will be sowed only because I had the fighting spirit
The truly great ones have focus, determination, perseverance.
Everyone wants to see them fail. Nobody wants to see someone superior to them exist.
The truly great ones know that. We do.
We know that the only person who will truly fight for you is yourself.
Spouses want control over each other. Parents want power over their children. To have control, to have power, you must be superior. They want the truly great ones to succeed, but only as far as themselves; they are afraid when we show our scary potential to surpass, far beyond. (This only applies to at least moderately successful families already. Not to poor families because those truly want something better for their family members. But when you already have a decent life, the desire is to be the best, and suppress the rest) Relatives, friends are no different. Who wants to have that sour feeling inside when they hear about someone's amazing success? Jealousy is a natural trait of humans, nobody is free from that.
And then you have the ones who desire for success.
The ones who want nothing else.
The ones who live for the envious looks in other people's eyes.
The ones who will work hard to see those looks, and feast upon them.
The ones who can, because they are naturally talented, and gifted.
The truly great ones.
It is time to recognise my destiny.
And fight for what only I will fight for myself.
Claim my title as one of the truly great ones.
